There are numerous trainers, clubs and basketball teams in Michigan, but no other organization matches what we offer young athletes. MAD Performance Team combines the knowledge and experience in USA Basketball player development with potential opportunities for high school exposure.
Team Player Options
We are forming a boys team (17U) and a boys team (14U) for our 2022-2023 basketball season! Some of our players are already training with us. Our player registration fee is $49.

MAD Performance 14U Team is our official basketball development program for middle school players. Our 14U program will provide unparalleled instruction and training for middle school boys in a team environment.

Tournaments/Events, Dates, and Locations
2023 US Open Championship
The U.S. Open Basketball Championships are Basketball's premier summer 5x5 youth tournament, played under USA Basketball youth guidelines, to crown a national champion. The U.S. Open Basketball Championships for Middle School divisions will be held June 23-25 in Rock Hill, SC.
High School divisions of U.S. Open Basketball Championships will be held at the NCAA College Basketball Academy (July 24-27), venue will be announced soon.
Snow Valley Basketball (Nike Camp)
Snow Valley Basketball Schools in Waverly, IA (July 11-14) is committed to offering the highest level of basketball instruction in the country. Learn from the top coaching staff, who are all USA Basketball licensed.
The camp director, Don Showalter, has coached over 50 NBA players including all stars Brad Beal, Jason Tatum and 4 of the top 5 2021 draft picks - Evan Mobley, Jalen Suggs, Jalen Green, and Scottie Barnes.
AAU Games
Our Teams will participate in select in-state/exposure AAU events. We will use these events to prepare for national tournaments and shoe circuit qualifications.
MAD PERFORMANCE 2023 TEAMS
Welcome to our MAD Performance Team Program! We are accepting players for 2022-2023 (February - July) season. Our first practice will be the weekend of:
April 1, 9:00-10:00am for 17U Team | 10:00-11:00am for 14U Team
Optional Strength Training Sessions - TBD.
Our mission is to develop the best basketball players and best individual athletes we can through our process of skills enhancement and game enhancements. We are developing pipeline of players to become candidates for grassroots circuit basketball like EYBL, 3SSB, UAA, and other independent circuit.
Program Overview
Our team practices and games (except for national tournaments) will be exclusively on the weekends. Both practices and games are mandatory for players. During the weeknights, we have optional workouts at our Macomb Township Development Center. These workouts are focused on individual strength development, skills and game enhancements. You do not have to be on the team to participate in the workout.
We will not host tryouts! To form our teams, we use organic processes such as; player invite, player recommendations, and individual registrations. However, we will periodically evaluate each player and offer constructive feedback. We know that we have plenty of talents coming, and we are open to the opportunity to play up where it makes sense to do so.

Team Tuition
Tuition is $245 to be on a MAD Performance Team. Tuition payments can be made to MAD Performance Team via cash, credit cards, or checks. See player payment options below:
One time payment $240
Two payments $122
Five payments $49 (must register before 04/01/23)
The tuition covers training, equipments, and team gear. It does not cover the cost of events or training facility. Event costs for 14U are divided among the number of players participating. For instance, if a tournament costs $200 for the team, and there are 8 players participating in the tournament, then each player pays $25 for the tournament.
Player Development Centers
We offer a unique blend of strength training, skills enhancement, game enhancements, and overall concepts and applications. We focus on live-reps (not just cones/pop-up defenders). *All 17U Players on MAD Performance Team receive full scholarship for weeknight workouts.

The weeknight workouts are on a pay-as-you go basis. The cost is FREE for players on our teams. Players not on our teams can also workout at a cost $35 per session. Players can prepay tuition online or pay directly to the coach.
